Nil Diya Pokuna is a fascinating hidden gem near Ella. Located deep inside a cave, about 80 meters underground, the natural blue water is truly unique and beautiful. It’s a bit of an adventure to reach, but definitely worth the experience

If your are around Ella, this is a must see! It is a very unique cave with a pool 800 m underground. After buying the ticket RS3000, a local guide will escort you down with a headlight. It takes around 10-15 min to get down to the pool, depending on your fitness level and the breaks. You can enjoy a cooling pool in the end in crystal clear water. It is not so touristy place, because it is not suitable for everyone, so you don’t need expect waiting times and too much crowd there.

A very big cave that goes 400m underground. A guide will be arranged for you upon buying the ticket (Rs3000). The guide will take care of you all the way and make it very safe. It's tough at the start but overall it's not too difficult, as long as you follow the instructions of the guide. Bring an extra pair of shorts if you plan to swim inside the cave.

Must visit place in Badulla. Its expensive but its a must visit adventure. For a guide you should pay like 4000 rs. Its not suitable to visit in rainy days the rocks are slippery. Please don’t wear white dresses because there will be so much dirts. The way of going is little bit tuff. But i can assure you that it will be a memorable adventure for your life time. Don’t miss it. I’ll share sone photos i captured there. Don’t forget that you can swim only for 20 min because the place is too small and there are so many of them are ahed of here. There is no more space to all of them. But the time is enough for you. And the deapth is also dangerous. Be careful guys!

Visited this amazing place with family with two kids. What an experience, climbing rocks, mud, crawling in dark… You know what, everyone including the kids we all enjoyed this trilling adventure. Have to be careful as the rocks and the floor is very slippery. Whole trip took 2 hours and even could finish it within an hour. Don’t forget to be ready with bathing clothes as we are allowed to have a bath at the pool. Nil Diya Poluka is famous for its name as the water is crystal clear with blue color. Water is so cold and fresh. Remember, you won’t be allowed to enter if you have medical complications as the journey is not easy. We are assigned a guide as you will be explained for basic safety instructions before entering. Don’t miss this thrilling adventure. It’s amazing.
