Refund Policy

Plans change — here's exactly what happens when you cancel a booking on Gamanee: how much you get back, when you get it, and the exceptions that work in your favor.

01Accommodation bookings

Refunds for stays are based on how far ahead of your check-in date you cancel:

  • 7 or more days before check-in: 100% refund of the amount paid.
  • 3–6 days before check-in: 50% refund of the amount paid.
  • Less than 3 days before check-in, or no-show: no refund.

Some listings may display their own stricter or more flexible cancellation terms on the booking page — where shown, the listing's terms take priority and are always visible before you pay.

02If the host cancels

If a host cancels a confirmed booking, or the accommodation materially fails to match its listing on arrival, you are entitled to a full refund — regardless of timing. Where possible, our team will also help you find a comparable alternative stay.

03Experiences, activities & custom packages

  • Cancellations 30+ days before the activity date: 100% refund.
  • Cancellations 15–29 days before: 50% refund.
  • Cancellations 7–14 days before: 25% refund.
  • Cancellations under 7 days: no refund.

For custom multi-service packages, refunds follow the individual cancellation terms of each service in the package, which we confirm with you at booking time.

04Force majeure

In cases of unforeseen events beyond anyone's control — natural disasters, severe weather, political unrest, or government travel restrictions — standard cancellation windows don't apply. We will work with you and the host to reschedule your booking or issue a credit or refund for future travel.

05How refunds are processed

  • Refunds go back to your original payment method.
  • We initiate refunds within 7–14 business days of the cancellation being confirmed.
  • Your bank or card provider may take additional days to reflect the amount — this varies by institution.
  • Payment gateway transaction fees are non-refundable where the gateway does not return them to us.

06How to cancel or request a refund

Cancel directly from your bookings page — the refund amount you're entitled to is calculated and shown before you confirm. If something goes wrong or you believe you qualify for an exception, open a support ticket with your booking reference and we'll review it within 1–2 business days.
