⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Victoria Park in Nuwara Eliya is one of the most beautiful and well maintained parks in Sri Lanka, and it truly deserves far more recognition than it currently receives. Originally established in the late 19th century during the British colonial period, the park was formally named to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897. Its layout and landscaping still reflect that classic British style, with neatly arranged flower beds, mature trees, and wide walking paths. I visited in May, right at the start of summer, and it was the perfect time to go. The weather in Nuwara Eliya was pleasant, and the flowers were in full bloom, making the entire park look vibrant and colourful. It is a massive green space, ideal for long walks, family outings, photography, or simply relaxing on a bench surrounded by nature. The lawns are beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere is calm and refreshing. If you are planning a visit, summer is highly recommended to experience the park at its best. Victoria Park is truly a gem of Nuwara Eliya and should receive much more spotlight for its beauty and historical charm.

This is my childhood favorite play locations. The kids park is under construction and sad to see only few flowers. Lot of improvements can be done to this amazing location. Still the historical trees are there. The cafe inside was not functioning. Washrooms were available. Not much clean though

Victoria Park is very clean, beautiful, and well maintained. The scenery is stunning, and it offers a peaceful, comfortable environment. The children’s park is also great, and we enjoyed spending about an hour there with my kids. Highly recommended! 😊🌿

A beautifully maintained, peaceful oasis in the heart of Nuwara Eliya! Victoria Park - Nuwara Eliya is an absolute must-visit when you are in the area. The landscaping is gorgeous, filled with vibrant, colorful flowers, towering trees, and beautifully manicured lawns. It’s incredibly peaceful to walk around and take in the cool mountain air.
