Ramboda Falls is truly one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in Sri Lanka and definitely a must-visit destination in the hill country. Located in the beautiful Pussellawa area of the Kandy District, this majestic waterfall stands out as one of the tallest on the island and offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and travellers alike. The sight of the powerful white water cascading down two rocky tiers into the pool below is absolutely mesmerising. Standing at around 358 ft tall, it is easy to see why Ramboda Falls is considered the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The surrounding misty mountains and lush greenery make the scenery even more magical. There is a well-positioned viewpoint where visitors can safely enjoy panoramic views and capture stunning photographs of the falls. For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, the uphill trekking trail leading closer to the waterfall is also very rewarding and offers a wonderful connection with nature. The cool climate, fresh mountain air, and the sound of rushing water create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Whether you are travelling through Nuwara Eliya or exploring the central highlands, Ramboda Falls is definitely worth stopping by to experience its natural beauty.

The entrance to the path is easy to find, just before the bridge where you can see the river and the lower part of the waterfall. A ticket is required to enter. The trail has cement steps and a paved path most of the way, with plenty of natural shade from the trees. The hike isn’t extremely difficult, but it does require some effort, so it’s best not to attempt it right after a heavy meal. It takes about 20 minutes of walking to reach the base of the waterfall. The waterfall itself is beautiful, with rocks and a natural pond area where you can climb around and enjoy the view. Just be careful on the rocks as they can be slippery. A nice little hike for those visiting the area.

Absolutely painstakingly beautiful waterfall. One must go to Ramboda water fall when visiting Nuwara Eliya,a quintessential town in Sri Lanka. This fall is approximately 1-1.5 Kilometres from the main road. I was helped by a local tour guide from ‘Bruno’s Tours’ to explore the entire places of Nuwara Eliya.

We visited the Rama Boda falls through the. Shuttle provided by the restaurant people by paying ₹200. For using the shuttle, the toilet facilities and to see the falls, we use the elevator it was most beautiful site surroundings with a cascading white waterfalls simply mesmerising beauty. I think this becomes a very important historic place to visit in route. Newara elliya... Located almost at a height of 23 thousand two hundred feet.It was a beautiful day to see the waterfalls from different angles

A superb experience! When you pass the bend make sure to park and go on the hike. It's about 20 mins and it's worth it. There is a guy who charges about 50 bucks for entrance. Make sure to take water and wear proper clothing as the hike gets a bit challenging.
